Kevin: Day 1884

Day 1884. Sorry if I got all serious on you yesterday. I was just going for it. Doing that old free form blog thang. Man, it was ice friggin cold out there at the butt crack of dawn this morn. I mean, what the heck? Why??

Oh yeah, it's November. i live in a city that has seasons. And, the good thing about these seasons? Change. You got to love change. Put those spring/summer clothes away, think of indoor activities, start a fire, make some chili... If we could only go ice fishing. I've always wanted to check that box off. it'll happen.

This was definitely the most frigid jog since last winter. I need to get my hands on some type of face guard/winter head gear. I'll tell you. My cold weather gear game has blossomed over the past five years. I can remember years back when I would run through a blizzard, literally two feet of snow in a sweatshirt and shorts with no gloves. If I was really playing it safe I would double up on the sweatshirts, ha. I must've looked like such a moron. Although, the conditions were so terrible that there were hardly any people out on the streets to see my winter weather gear ineptitude.

By the time I made it to the Lincoln Memorial today I had thawed out and was able to remove the head guard portion of my hoodie as I ran up the steps. Other than the cold it was gorgeous out there. I got to thinking about Saturday's run. It might be a doozy. Now that I've managed to gain consistency with 10+ milers... I might need to break out a 20 spot. We'll see, I could be getting a little ahead of myself.

Hope you have a wonderful day full of great accomplishments. Go get it gang.
