Kevin: Day 3020

Day 3020. It's been a busy, exciting, scary, eye-opening, fun-filled few months. This is my first post as a married man. To clariy, the scary part is related to business, not marriage! And yes, the streak is alive and well. I really have a lot to owe to the streak and am so glad that over 8 years ago, I decided to set out on this path. Less than 20 years to go!!!!

There have been many mileage ups and downs over the past month or so. But, I'm trying to keep runs when I can to at least over 3 miles. There is a clear connection to my overall mental well-being and happiness and the average distances I run. Typically, when I'm in a funk, I'm not getting in good runs. If I can just will myself over a few weeks to pick up the mileage, slowly, and sometimes instantly, I'm pulled back into a good place.

Today I ran to my go to spot, the Lincoln Memorial. There were a lot of people out there taking photos per usual. One family of 4 or 5 kids posed on the front steps with their two yellow labs, one adult, one puppy. They will certainly look cute in the photo. But there was this sense about the whole crew as I jogged by that they knew how adorable there photos were going to be.

Yesterday, Nicole and I made our first appearance together on TV, ABC7's Good Morning Washington, promoting our new distribution company, Rapp Distributing Company. We've received pretty good feedback from the segment so far. It is a grind right now, no doubt about that. But it has been the most fulfilling work experience, from Day 1, of my life.

That's it for now. Streak on!

6.3 miles down
